Dragon Ball Xenoverse Guide

Dragon Ball Xenoverse (abbreviated as Dragon Ball XV) is a fighting role-playing video game based on the Dragon Ball franchise developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Games. It was released in February 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.

I only own the PC version of this, but I don’t think there are many differences on the platforms (not sure though).

The Prologue is the beginning moments of the game. When you hit start, you will be launched into a series of battles as Goku, throughout various points in the timeline.

Historic Fight

Saiyan Saga

The Saiyan Saga is the first you will encounter in Dragon Ball Z. It begins with the arrival of Raditz, and ends with that, as the Saiyan saga is split in two for this game.

Trunk’s Test!
Invasion of Earth! Saiyan Warrior Raditz

Return of the Saiyans Saga

This saga covers the events of the Saibamen, and the battles between Nappa, Vegeta and the heroes of Earth. The saga ends as Vegeta flees Earth.

Infestation! Saibamen Scourge
Arrival of the Saiyan Warriors
Power x10! Vegeta Transforms
Prince’s Pride! Limit Battle

Ginyu Force Saga

The Ginyu Saga covered the events that occur on Planet Namek, as you fight the Ginyu Force while hunting for the Namekian Dragon Balls.

Those Weird Guys! Ginyu Force
Goku Clashes with Ginyu Force
Spaceship Sneak Mission as Ginyu
Take Back History and your Body
Discovered! History Invaders

Frieza Saga

The brief events of this saga take place as you battle Frieza. The saga ends as you kill Frieza and leave Namek.

Emperor Frieza!
Finally! Raging Super Saiyan
Final Battle! My Full Power

Cell Saga

The Cell Saga covers the events of the Cell Games, and dealing with the menace of Cell.

Hercule’s Fight! Out of the Way
Immortal Hercule at Cell Games
Rage Gohan! Villainous Cell Jr
Warrior from the Future, Mira!
Don’t Lose Gohan! Perfect Cell

Android Saga

The Android Saga is fairly brief in this game. It also takes place after the Cell Saga, it was an effort to get rid of Trunks after revealing that he was the one who was interfering with Mira and Towa’s plans. So do your best to protect Trunks.

The Cruel Androids of the Future
Cell is Here?! Save Trunks!

Majin Buu Saga

The interesting villain known as Majin Buu makes his appearance here. The Majin Buu Saga sees you put a stop to one evil, while uncovering a whole other.

Buu Buu! Majin Buu
True Enemy! Hypnotized Piccolo
Ta dah! Majin Buu is Here
Endure It! Majin Buu’s Barrage

God of Destruction Beerus Saga

The second last Saga in the game, is also one of the hardest. Lord Beerus is no pushover, and you will need to fight him to make it through here. If you can beat the Lord of Destruction though, surely you can beat anyone!

Powerful God of Destruction Beerus
Demigra’s Plot?! Stop Beerus
Team with Beerus! End of Demigra!
Time for a Test! Beerus and Whis

Demon God Demigra Saga

The final saga in the game, this will have you butting heads with the villain at the root of all these time travel issues.

Total Chaos! Rival Rumble
Siege on Tokitoki! Awakened Demigra
Defend History! Unknown Battle

Legendary Super Saiyan Saga

The Legendary Super Saiyan Saga is a hidden saga that can only be unlocked by obtaining all the Time Chasm Crystal Shards. Get all 5, then return to Trunks to unlock this saga.

Obtaining these rare items isn’t as difficult as you might expect, as two of them are handed to you.

First half of the GT Saga

Once you buy the DLC pack you’ll unlock a whole new saga to explore: Dragon Ball GT. This first part of the GT Saga goes over two of the most powerful enemies in GT: Baby and Super 17.But there is a twist. A wormhole Demigra made sucked them both up as soon as you defeat both of them. There’s more to be explained at the second half of the saga… To play this saga you talk to a robot named Culina who’ll be waiting for you near the Time Vault.

Wake Up, Other Trunks!

Missing Captain? Neo Ginyu Force
17 Fusion! Birth of Super 17

Second half of the GT Saga

After finishing the first half of the GT Saga, talk to Spots who is right next to Culina and he will give you the second half of the GT Saga. In this half, you’ll be fighting the Shadow Dragons, including the most dangerous: Omega Shenron. Afterwards everyone you faced in the GT Saga will all be brought to one place where they team up to do one thing only. Defeat Goku. So you’ll have to team up with Gogeta and defeat all of them.

Omega Shenron VS Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta
Enemies Gather! Ultimate Tag Team

The masters are special characters who will train you, teaching you powerful new techniques.

After you have unlocked them, you will need to speak with them in Tokitoki city. You will then be challenged to a fight, and should you win, they will train you. The training process isn’t actually that hard. It general starts with you being given a skill, and having to use it until its mastered. Once you have done that, your Master of choice will give you more small quests and as you complete them you will receive greater and more powerful rewards.
