Brand Spotlight: Simple Skincare

With summer (finally!) here, it’s time to rethink how you cleanse your skin. Rule number one: ditch the greasy, heavier creams and cleansers in favor of lighter, more breathable formulas. Thankfully, Simple Skincare has done just that with two new launches and a reformulation of an old favorite.

About Simple Skincare: Simple Skincare was founded in the 1960s as the first UK-based brand to say no to added color and perfume—two major causes of irritation—in their products.

What sets them apart: If sensitive skin plagues you, chances are Simple is already on your radar. The skincare brand boasts (you guessed it!) simple, non-irritating formulas that are ideal for those with delicate skin. With no harsh chemicals, no artificial perfumes or dyes, and a budget-friendly pricetag, this drugstore brand delivers high quality to everyone.

Product low-down

Simple Skincare Hydrating Cleansing Oil: Unlike other harsh cleansers and makeup-removers, this oil-based cleanser removes makeup without stripping skin. Formulated with 100 percent pure grapeseed oil, this formula is ideal for maintaining a balanced and healthy skin barrier thanks to essential fatty acids, which help hydrate and soften skin, and Vitamins A and E, which fight free radicals. To use, simply apply two to three drops to dry hands and massage into the face. Apply water to rinse and remove oil and makeup.

Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-Up Remover: This makeup remover might look a little different than what you’re used to, but trust us, the concoction is just as potent. Formulated with both purified water and oil, this makeup remover remains separate until mixed together. Designed to give a one-two punch, the oil goes to work to dissolve grease and makeup, while the water freshens skin to look hydrated and nourished. Bonus points: this unique duo not only removes stubborn waterproof mascara, but it also conditions lashes with every use. To use, simply shake to mix, then apply a few drops to a cotton pad. Swipe across lids to remove eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner.

Simple Cleansing Facial WipesThis new and improved formula builds off of the already tried-and-true cleansing facial wipes. With a softer touch and the new Aqua-Lock formula, which keeps the towelettes moist longerthese wipes remove stubborn, greasy, and waterproof makeup all while maintaining their freshness. Tough makeup doesn’t stand a chance!
